Even if you are spending your time at a gym or pursuing exercise, but when you sit ideal for some time you raises the risk of certain diseases including cancer. After the outcome, researchers revealed that sedentariness can have a detrimental impact on cancer even those persons who are active.

The researchers came to this conclusion after taking into consideration the results of 43 observational studies with a total number of around 4 million participants and they studied 68,936 cancer cases. When you sit ideal for long time you have the risk of getting lung, colon and endometrium or uterine lining cancer.

Moreover, while watching television people go for eating more thus develop unhealthy eating habits. When we spend time in the sedentary way and do less physical activity, it all causes decreased energy level which is accompanied by weight gain and obesity.

Take for example the case of the United States and the United Kingdom, where less than half of all adults spend an average of 90% of their leisure time seated.

What’s the solution?

In order to lead a normal life you have to get up and move. Pursue physical exercise, walking etc. In order to lead an active life instead of talking to a person or colleague on phone or by sending an email. Why not visit that person’s place. You may walk down or take the stairs as and when needed. Moreover, you can do morning jog or bicycling to the workplace. The point is getting active more physically may improve your chance of getting physically active and you refrain from diseases and conditions.
